OMUMC Church Rededication Sunday, September 26, 2004 On September 26, Oak Meadow United Methodist Church celebrated the 25th anniversary of worship services in its current location. Throughout this past year, the congregation has renewed efforts to nourish the church and its programs. This has included the purchase of new chairs and painting of the sanctuary. These renovations compliment the beautiful stained glass prepared by Bill Ridenour, one of our members, that has been placed in the upper windows of the sanctuary. The activities of this year were culminated on September 26, 2004 as two murals painted by another of our members, Ivan McDougal, were unveiled and dedicated. These paintings adorn the walls of our renovated sanctuary. Our traditional worship service began at 10:30AM. District Superintendent Reverend Virgilio Vazquez-Garza participated in this service and ceremonies to dedicate the paintings, burn the mortgage, and rededicate the church. A reception was then held from 12-2PM.
The choir provided a special presentation. And, a concert/recital was provided by our
gifted church pianist, Arkadiy
Grinman. During this reception, we shared all of the
treasures of our resident artists and began the next 25 years. Burning
